Gordon Athletic Association

This registration will provide you with Fall 2024 season details on practices, games, eligibility, and allow you to register your child(ren) for their specific age group.  Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information provided is accurate.

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or ACH Bank Account information available.

**Please note that Flag level is ONLY for ages 5-7**

**Please note that Tackle is ONLY for ages 8-14**

To allow adequate production and shipping time for uniforms, registration will close on July 26th.  Any athlete that registers after July 19th will receive a Gordon jersey but it will not be personalized.

• Complete the Application, Medical Consent and Release forms
• ALL players must provide a copy of their Real ID and CQL Application to Play
• Complete the Code of Conduct Form
• Complete Volunteer Agreement Form
• Complete Uniform Order
• Complete the Registration Fees Form

• Practices will be determined by the Chesterfield Quarterback League.  Plan on practices being several days a week. Typically, practice for our Flag Team is 3 days a week and Tackle 4 days a week with a walk through practice on Friday during the season.  Once we have the official dates, they will be posted through the SportsEngine app.
• Games will be played on Saturdays starting a couple of weeks after school starts. The games can be morning, early afternoon or evening. Again, the schedule will be released by the CQL and will be posted to the SportsEngine app.
• Our regular season is 8 games. Playoffs start the Saturday after the last regular season game and can run into the first week of December. 
• During the season, teams with more than 25 or more players will participate in developmental games on Monday nights.
• If you have never played Fall football with us before, it is similar to a high school football game.  We have limited concessions, merchandise,  half time programs, pep rallies, homecoming celebrations and more! 
• Each association has their own "home" field. Gordon's home fields are Gordon Elementary School and Monacan High School.  During the season, the football team will practice at Gordon Elementary School before moving to another location with lights (typically Manchester Middle School or Providence Middle School).

All associations in the Chesterfield Quarterback League, are required to abide by the by-laws regarding age, weight and team roster requirements.  For more information, please see the chart below. A full list of the CQL by-laws can be found at https://www.cqlfootball.com/cqlbylaws

This by-law was voted in because there have been issues with birth certificates.

The league only needs a copy of the ID will not request submission of the actual ID.  A copy of the Real ID can be attached to this registration in the documents section or you may bring a copy to your child's first  practice.  If we do not receive a copy of the Real ID by the deadline your child WILL NOT be allowed to play.

Please be aware that CQL regulates the number of open players we are allowed to accept. Open players are those residing outside of the Gordon Elementary School boundary and do not have a "home" association. Gordon welcomes open players from other elementary school areas, but we must abide the League’s regulations.

It is the Association's policy to communicate via the SportsEngine app.  Please provide accurate contact information, retain your username and password, download, and allow notifications in the SportsEngine app.

If you are registering more than one child in your family, you will receive a $10 discount on all additional children after the first child's information has been entered but not paid for.  In order for the registration system to recognize that you are registering multiple players, please register all of your players at one time.  On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your players are registered within the same order.
